Dearest members of the Korean Society of Perinatology

Greetings from the Korean Society of Perinatology!

I am very honored to greet you as the chairman for the new year of 2023, and at the same time, I feel a great sense of responsibility.

Established in 1986, the Korean Society of Perinatology is dedicated to improving perinatal care in Korea thanks to the enthusiastic participation and support of all members of the society.

As an academic organization, we will strive to create a foundation that can be reflected in health care policies by conducting practical academic and policy research related to perinatal care for mothers and newborns.

In addition, we will try to find efficient management of medical personnel and facility to protect the health of mothers and newborns in the era of severe low birth rate.

Thanks to the efforts of the executives and members of the Korean Society of Perinatology, the Federation of Asia and Oceania Perinatal Societies (FAOPS) Congress will be held in Korea in 2024. Although there are some difficulties due to COVID-19, it will be a very meaningful opportunity to communicate with various researchers abroad. We desperately need your continued interest and support more than ever.

It is both a great honor and a great responsibility to assume the presidency at such an important time. I will always do my best during the given term with a humble attitude.

In the future, we ask for active academic activities, continued participation, and constant interest from our members. Also, I wish you success in all your plans, and health and happiness to you and your families.
